Joining Blackbird in early 2022, Donna Poitras brings a diverse background informed by experience in the pulp and oil and gas industries, along with a strong foundation in land and resource stewardship. In her role as Community Relations Coordinator, Donna supports Blackbird’s relationships with Indigenous partners and the broader community, helping foster connection, collaboration, and engagement as the company continues to grow.
Donna is a steady presence within Blackbird, providing valued support to the team and contributing to a positive, people-focused workplace culture. Her work reflects a thoughtful balance of practical experience, relationship-building, and an appreciation for the importance of community and place.
She holds a Diploma in Land and Resource Management and a 4th Class Power Engineer certification, and brings a grounded, adaptable approach to her work.
Outside of work, Donna enjoys camping, fishing, sewing, and gardening. She has transitioned form overseeing a pack of sled dogs to sharing her life with two French Bulldogs, and her favourite adventures include relaxing at Liard River Hot Springs and exploring sandy beaches for snorkelling. Her warmth, versatility, and dedication make her an integral part of the Blackbird team.
