Originally from Saskatchewan, Rachael brings curiosity, dedication, and a love of the outdoors to Blackbird. They hold a BSAg in Environmental Science and BSc in Biology, combining that love for the outdoors with an academic background. An Articling Agrologist and Biologist in Training, she has contributed to diverse projects, including a black bear GPS collaring study in Fort McMurray, AB. Rachael values the variety of projects at Blackbird, which allows her to expand her skills and knowledge across the environmental and agricultural fields.
Outside of work, Rachael enjoys kayaking in quiet locations, participating in citizen science programs, creating music with a community wind band, and applying her training in wilderness survival.
