Ally Nichols

Biologist

Ally is a Registered Professional Biologist with a passion for wildlife, outdoor adventure, and practical, science-based solutions. Raised in Kamloops and North Vancouver, Ally brings a wide-ranging background in environmental consulting and conservation work across BC, Alberta, and Manitoba – with a career that’s been especially rooted in herpetology (yes, she’s your go-to amphibian and reptile person).

With years of experience delivering environmental assessments, monitoring, and field programs, Ally has worked with diverse wildlife species and ecosystems while supporting permitting, regulatory compliance, and clear reporting for a wide range of projects. She’s known for being steady in the field, thoughtful in her recommendations, and a great teammate who helps keep operations organized and crews supported.

One of Ally’s proudest accomplishments is running a five-year research project monitoring trends in American beaver biology and their role in flooding mitigation in a changing climate, with a focus on adaptive management solutions. Outside of work, you’ll find her chasing the next outdoor adventure with friends, family, and her dog Cash – or, in a plot twist, staying in for a good board game night.
